After graduating from Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) with a Finance degree, Scott accepted a position as a credit analyst at S&T Bank. Scott spent the next 24 years as a corporate banker, holding various roles in both credit analysis and commercial lending at several different financial institutions. Early in his career, Scott moved to Philadelphia, however western Pennsylvania always remained his true home, and he was able to move back in 2012 when he accepted a position with First Commonwealth Bank. During his banking career, Scott gained extensive hands-on experience related to business loans, deposits, financial analysis, customer service and strategic planning.
Prior to joining the Era Financial team, Scott was a client first. He became a client in 2024 when the team completed a rollover of his personal 401K. Scott enjoyed working with Shannon and her team so much that when the opportunity presented itself, he decided to take a position with the firm.
Working with a personal, local firm like Era Financial Advisors provides Scott with the opportunity to be focused on customer service (something that he’s always enjoyed throughout his career) while having the satisfaction of knowing that he has helped someone achieve their financial goals.
Scott resides in Indiana with his wife Becky and their cocker spaniel, Gypsy. Scott enjoys anything outdoors during his free time, especially fishing, camping and hiking. Scott and his wife also enjoy vacationing in the mountains or by a lake where they can explore and relax at a cabin with a hot tub.

“I truly believe in the old motto that money should never be the goal but instead should be used as a tool to reach your goals. Everyone should have a plan to reach those goals no matter how big or how small the end goal.”
